The Mozart family - Mozart museums along the European Mozart Ways
The Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna is one of the oldest musical institutions in Europe. Founded in 1666 by the nobleman Vincenzo Maria Carrati the accademia is located in the family palace in today's Via Guerrazzi 13 and is still an important point of reference for the cultural life of the city and beyond.

As part of the tour, you can visit the rooms of the 16th century Palazzo Carrati, such as the Mozart Room / Sala Mozart, where the young Mozart fulfilled his task and which is now a concert hall, the Mozart Task Room, where the manuscript and all the documents that enabled the young Salzburg genius to obtain the title of Philharmonic Academician are kept. Other rooms once occupied by the noble family of the Accademia's founders can also be visited, such as the Rossini Room, the Accademia's main reception room, and the Farinelli Room, the rooms dedicated to the music collections, where some of the instruments used in the Accademia's early years are kept, including the Traeri organ from 1673; Finally, the Accademia's archives can be visited, which over the course of more than three hundred and fifty years of history have been filled with valuable documents, books and manuscripts, often autographs.
