Bavarian State Opera launched Festival 2023

It's hot outside, but inside the National Theatre beckons with music and ballet. Verdi, Wagner, Mozart, Handel and much more are on offer at the Munich Opera Festival over the coming weeks. One format has traditionally been particularly popular.

The Bavarian State Opera is heading for the climax of its season. The Munich Opera Festival kicked off on Friday (23 June). For about five weeks, visitors can look forward to a colourful programme, including new productions of famous works such as Richard Wagner's "Lohengrin" and Giuseppe Verdi's "Aida". W.A. Mozart's COSI FAN TUTTE will be performed on 15 and 17 July.
