Birthday party for Leopold Mozart with sing-along workshops, guided tours and mini-concerts

Leopold Mozart would have been 305 years old this November. Augsburg, the city of Mozart, is celebrating his birthday on 10 November with a traditional family day at the Leopold Mozart House, with free admission.

Visitors of all ages can go on a tour of discovery in the museum on family tours, immerse themselves in Mozart’s treasure trove of songs in sing-along workshops with Ingrid Hausl alias “Frau Tönchen” or accompany the Mozart family across Europe with Karla Andrä and Josef Holzhauser with rhymes and melodies on the great ‘Child prodigy journey’! Mini-concerts with today’s ‘Child prodigies’ from the Sing and Music School Augsburg (Sing- und Musikschule Mozartstadt Augsburg (SuMMA)) round off the program.

You can also stroll through the Leopold Mozart House on your own with the “discovery booklet” specially developed for the museum and be inspired by the exciting personality of the birthday boy, or test your prodigy qualities on the violin.
