Exsultate Jubilate
On 17 January 2023, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the first performance of "Exsultate Jubilate" in Milan, the young Mozart's motet was heard in the Sant'Antonio Abate Church in Milan. Works by J.C. Bach and Gianandrea Fioroni were also performed.
The performance was organised by the "Centro di Musica Antica Ghislieri" together with Società del Quartetto di Milano and the European Mozart Ways and under the patronage of the "Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna". Performers were the Ghislieri Choir and Orchestra conducted by Giulio Prandi and the "Schola gregoriana Ghislieri" conducted by Renato Cadel for the Gregorian chants. The soloists were Robin Johannssen / soprano, Carlo Vistoli / alto, Raffaele Giordani / tenor and Alessandro Ravasio / bass.
