Frankfurt's new festival
Frankfurt is celebrating a composer: for a whole week, from 21 to 30 April 2023, the city's major cultural institutions will pool their expertise to honour the work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with a packed programme. "Mainly Mozart" is the name of the event - not only as an allusion to the metropolis on the River Main, but also to deliberately leave room for connections and cross-references to other composers, arts and eras.
The first edition of the biennial festival will mainly - "mainly"! - the work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in all its facets from different perspectives. The festival aims to bring new programming ideas, innovative concert formats, new educational opportunities and, of course, lots of music to the city and the region.
