Mozart Week 2023

January 26 - February 5

2023 has always been intended as the culmination of our original five-year plan to celebrate Mozart, the child prodigy, and Mozart, the great master.

The focus of the musical of the festival is on his very early works and the great last masterpieces.

In the eleven days celebrating Mozart we present the very first and the last three of his symphonies, the first and the last violin sonatas, travel through his creative development of the piano sonatas, the early opera arias and some of the great late ones, the Mass in C minor and the Requiem, his last work, the early and late compositions for woodwind instruments, all his violin concertos, some of the early piano concertos and the last, ballet music, divertimenti and serenades, all the quintets, early and late quartets, works for horn, and a concertante, semi-staged "opera of all operas," as SΓΈren Kierkegaard called it: Don Giovanni. All of these stellar moments will be made possible by the greatest Mozart interpreters of our time and, among many other dazzling moments, will be accompanied by our much-loved formats Trazom! as well as Music and Word, conversations with Mozart experts, and a special celebration of the first decade of the Mozart Children's Orchestra.
