Mozarthaus Vienna

New installation plays with Mozart's image

Mozarthaus Vienna, a museum run by Wien Holding, now has one more attraction: in the left-hand window next to the museum entrance, a new, freely accessible installation encourages visitors to explore the many faces of the composer and follow his footsteps into the museum.

The new installation, a combination of digital elements and analog movement, invites visitors to immerse themselves in Mozart's world and, above all, explores the question of what Mozart really looked like. The four portraits, which are twisted and reassembled by the mechanism, come from a scientifically recognized pool of paintings.
