In the second half of the year, the Schwetzingen Mozart Festival traditionally attracts music lovers from near and far to the Mozart town of Schwetzingen. This classical music festival focuses on its namesake, who visited the town in 1763 and played for the Elector.

Excellent chamber music in a beautiful setting / Schwetzingen Castle! Quatuor Zaïde, the Amaryllis Quartet, Moritz Winkelmann and many others will bring the castle to life. The Plauen-Zwickau Theatre will also be performing a Mozart opera.
