ORCHESTRA GIOVANILE EUROPEA

The project of the Pre-College Salzburg (http://www.precollegesalzburg.at) of the Mozarteum University under the project management of Stefan David Hummel (conductor and project manager) and Norbert Brandauer (conductor and choral director) has been closely linked to the European Mozart Ways since 2017, as the orchestra was the first orchestra to be appointed Young Ambassador of the European Mozart Ways.

Young students from Austria, Italy and Germany meet every year to rehearse chamber music and orchestral works together and present them on concert tours at home and abroad. A special feature of the ensemble is that it performs not only as an orchestra or chamber music ensemble but also as a choir.

Following in the footsteps of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart and Grand Duke Ferdinand III of Tuscany, the young musicians are introduced to the historical connections between Italy, Austria and Germany through the concert venues on Mozart's travel route.
